New Zealand will learn their group opponents at the FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup on Friday March 31 when the draw is made for the tournament to be held in Indonesia in May.

All 24 participating nations have now been confirmed with South Korea and Japan taking the final two spots with wins at the Asian U-20 cup on Sunday March 12, 2023.

South Korea qualified at the expense of China, beating them 3-1, while Japan beat Jordan 2-0 to qualify.

The surprise of the weekend’s qualifiers was the cup exit of Australia, beaten in a penalty shootout by Uzbekistan.
