Ellerslie confirm return of key players for Lotto NRFL Women’s Premiership

Ellerslie start their Lotto Women’s Premier League season on Sunday, facing defending champions Northern Rovers.

However, they go into the new season with confidence and having named a squad that retains experienced players from last season.

These include award-winning Anita Trudgeon who has 96 appearances and has scored 27 goals.

Head coach Ryan Shiffman told the Ellerslie website:

“This team gets stronger every year, and this year is no different.

“I believe both the first team and reserves have the potential to push for top spots in their respective leagues, while also having our eyes on earning a National League spot and thinking about what that would mean for our club.

“Should be an exciting season and at least we know we will have fun doing it, like we do every year.”
