Age group international striker Kelli Brown signs for top New South Wales club

Former Wellington Phoenix and national age group international Kelli Brown has signed for top Sydney club Macarthur Rams.

Striker Brown (22) played for Northern Rovers in last year’s women’s National League after being part of the inaugural Phoenix women’s A-League squad.

She has joined Macarthur Rams — who were the 2022 National Premier Leagues NSW champions — which has 11 players with A-League experience.

Brown’s motivation to move to Australia was to find a way to return to the A-League.

She was part of the New Zealand side that won third place at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay in 2018, and later won selection to the national U-20 squad.

Brown’s move to the Macarthur Rams was helped by the Lee Fratelli agency, based in Auckland/Sydney.

Last year, Brown made a big impact in the national league, scoring five goals against Central in her debut for Northern Rovers.
