Perth Glory’s Liz Anton recalled to Ferns squad after withdrawal of CJ Bott

Defender CJ Bott has been forced to pull out of the Football Ferns squad to face Iceland and Nigeria this month after suffering a groin injury.

Bott (27) aggravated the injury during Leicester City’s 5-0 loss to Aston Villa in the English Women’s Super League.

The April 2 match marked her return to play after she picked up a slight injury with the Ferns during their February internationals against Portugal and Argentina.

Bott has been replaced in the Ferns by Perth Glory’s Liz Anton (24), who has 19 caps for New Zealand.

The Ferns play Iceland and Nigeria in Turkey.
