The Wellington Phoenix have four must-win games as they push for home-ground advantage in the men’s A-League play-offs, says midfielder Bozhidar Kraev.
Speaking to the media ahead of the Phoenix match against Melbourne City on Easter Monday, Kraev (25) said:
“We have four finals, and we have to play every game like it’s our last, and to take the three points.
“We don’t have to focus that much on the performance … who’s going to score or anything like this … it’s about three points.”
Bulgarian Kraev said the team was after a home play-off, so the effort of the season is not “thrown to the wind”.
As for league leaders Melbourne City, Kraev says the Phoenix are capable of the win.
“Yeah, I believe … I always believe every week, I go, and I think that we can win.”
