Injured midfielder Olivia Chance won’t be risked for Ferns’ game against Nigeria

Midfielder Olivia Chance will not be considered for inclusion in the Football Ferns’ friendly international against Nigeria in Turkey.

Speaking at a media briefing, head coach Jitka Klimková said the coaching staff were still awaiting MRI results on Chance’s ankle, injured in the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Iceland.

Regardless of the results of the MRI, Chance would not be used in the game, Klimková said.

“She’s walking around; she’s not in pain,” Klimková said.
