Fiji club Suva have received a $30,000 boost to help their preparations for next month’s OFC Champions League in which they’ll face defending champions Auckland City.
Mobile phone network provider Digicel Fiji have presented Suva with a $30,000 cheque to help them prepare for the eight-club tournament to be held in Vanuatu from May 14-27, 2023.
Suva’s group includes Lupe Ole Soaga (Samoa), Solomon Warriors (Solomon Islands) and Auckland City, who they play on Wednesday May 17.
Digicel Fiji’s chief executive, Farid Mohammed, said:
“We are fully supportive of the team travelling and wishing them all the best. Our commitment as Digicel towards the development and continuous improvement of the sport of football in Fiji continues. We have been the sponsor of Fiji FA for two years.”
