New Zealand’s opening game at the FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup will be against Guatemala in Santiago del Estero, in northern Argentina.
The Group A fixture will be played on Saturday May 20, 2023 (local time) which is likely to mean it will take place on the Sunday (NZT).
The fixture schedule has been announced by FIFA after the tournament draw which has placed New Zealand in the same group as hosts Argentina, Uzbekistan and Guatemala.

The 24-nation tournament ends on June 11 with the final.
