VIDEO: Physio takes on ultra marathon in memory of Lily Pacheco

An A-League physio has run 170kms in 17 hours to raise $16,000 for the Brain Foundation, in memory of Lily Pacheco, the late wife of former Wellington Phoenix skipper Ulises Dávila.

Lily Pacheco died suddenly last May, aged 30, after ongoing health problems, leaving Dávila and the couple’s two-year-old son, Uli Junior.

Brendan Wyatt, the physio at Dávila’s current club, Macarthur, says he wanted to pay tribute to Lily Pacheco and to Dávila for the courage he had shown over the past year.

He set out to run 160km in 19 hours or under, to raise money for the Brain Foundation, but ended up running close to 170km in 17 hours and 14 minutes.
