Futsal Ferns continue success of Kiwi contingent playing for top London club

Futsal Ferns Hannah Kraakman, Dayna Manak and Tessa Leong are continuing the success of New Zealanders in the top-tier competitions of futsal in the United Kingdom.

The trio play for Bloomsbury Futsal, who have won the league stage in Tier 1 of the UK national women’s competition.

Leong is Bloomsbury’s leading scorer this season with eight goals.

The men’s team at London-based Bloomsbury contains four players who have represented the Futsal Whites, and they have won the league stage in the men’s top tier of the UK’s National Futsal Series.

Jordi Ditfort, Tom McGowan and brothers Logan Wisnewski and Kyle Wisnewski are members of the Bloomsbury team to complete an unbeaten league schedule, winning 12 of their 14 games and drawing twice.

Play-off success can lead to Europe

Both the women’s and men’s Bloomsbury teams now go into play-offs with the three other clubs to make the top four.

The winners of the play-offs become National Series champions and are then nominated to represent England in the UEFA Futsal Series.
