Wisnewski’s contender for Goal of the Year

Wisnewski’s rocket against Brisbane in January saw her win the Liberty A-League goal of the month award for January and with it, nomination for the goal of the year honour.

The 20-year-old box-to-box midfielder started the last 14 of Wellington’s matches after missing the opening four through injury.

She also scored in the Phoenix’s final round match against Melbourne Victory to secure a come-from-behind draw against the two-time defending champions.
