New Zealand draw Cook Islands and Samoa at OFC U-16 Women’s Championship

New Zealand will play the Cook Islands and Samoa in their pool games at September’s OFC U-16 Women’s Championship to be held in Tahiti.

The 10-nation tournament decides who qualifies for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, representing the Oceania region.

The format for the OFC U-16 tournament will see three groups produce quarter-finalists, followed by semi-finals on September 27, and the final on September 30.

The draw

The draw was conducted by OFC Head of Competitions Chris Kemp, OFC President Lambert Matlock and host President of Fédération Tahitienne de Football, Thierry Ariiotima.
