Takapuna AFC have appointed Stacey Sinton to the newly-created role of club manager.

Chair Glyn Taylor said: “This is a significant step forward for the club.

Stacey Sinton.

“Historically, the club’s administration has been a part-time role. However, increasing levels of compliance and the club’s own strategic objectives centred on the three pillars of Club Organisation, Club Growth and Player Pathways has forced us to expand this role to ensure club operations are delivered in a clear and consistent manner, resulting in a positive experience for our players, members, partners, and community.

“Indeed, this role will work to ensure a high culture of performance in all areas, which will support the club strategic vision and bring our values to life.”

Stacey Sinton said: “We were first introduced to club when my then 5-year-old son joined the Friday First Kicks programme. Since then, my husband and I have spent each season standing on the sidelines cheering him and his team on and are looking forward to doing the same this year for his 13th Grade Team (Go Man United!).

“The Takapuna Football Club has an exciting path ahead, and I’m honoured to be joining the Team as we begin that journey.

“I have spent a large part of my career working in the People and Performance space, most recently with FIFA for the Women’s World Cup and SKY TV.

“I thrive on building positive relationships with teams and creating processes and structure where needed. I’ve worked in big corporates through to smaller startups, and what always remains the most important ingredient is their people.”
