The Wellington Phoenix have adopted a data platform that’s been used by some of the world’s top clubs to optimise performance, talent development and medical performance.
The club has confirmed its deal with Silicon Valley-based Kitman Labs to use its centralised operating system for athlete management.
The Phoenix use the company’s full suite of solutions in its Intelligence Platform, including performance medicine, performance optimisation and talent development, across the men’s and women’s first teams and the club’s academy.
The platform combines medical, performance and talent development data into a single, interactive system that yields actionable intelligence to support specific operating and performance outcomes.
Kitman Labs has worked with a number of teams and leagues across a variety of sports and the company’s technology has been used by football clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen, Malmö FF and Columbus Crew.
Phoenix director of football Shaun Gill said:
