New Zealand learn group opponents for October’s OFC Futsal Nations Cup

New Zealand will play Vanuatu, Fiji and Tonga in their group games at October’s OFC Futsal Nations Cup tournament in Auckland.

At stake is a place at next year’s FIFA Futsal World Cup to be held in Uzbekistan (September 14 — October 6, 2024).

The Oceania Football Confederation made the draw for the Nations Cup, splitting the eight participating nations into two groups, as follows:

Group A

New Zealand
Vanuatu
Fiji
Tonga

Group B

Solomon Islands
New Caledonia
Tahiti
Samoa

The tournament will take place from October 1-7, 2023, at Papakura’s Bruce Pulman Arena.

Game to be played on Sunday October 1, 2023

New Zealand v Vanuatu

Game to be played on Monday October 2, 2023

New Zealand v Fiji
7pm (NZT)

Game to be played on Wednesday October 4, 2023

New Zealand v Tonga

Semi-finals will take place on Thursday October 5 and the finals on Saturday October 7.
