Western Springs could move into second place if they can beat leaders Auckland United in a Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League catch-up match on Friday night.
The game is the only WPL fixture of the weekend and takes place under the floodlights at Springs’ Seddon Fields grounds in Westmere.
A win to United would see Ben Bates’ side extend their lead over nearest rivals Eastern Suburbs to five points; a loss would see Springs close the gap to a point.
