All Whites midfielder Joe Bell is reportedly set to return to his former Norwegian club, Viking, in a transfer deal reported to be worth NZ$1.65 million.

The Danish news site BT says Bell’s current club Brøndby have agreed on a deal for the New Zealander to move back to his former club in return for three instalments of EU300,000.

Bell (24), who has made 16 appearance for the All Whites, joined Viking in 2020 but moved to Danish Superliga club Brøndby on transfer deadline day, January 31, 2022.

He agreed a four-and-a-half year contract with Brøndy who were the Superliga champions.

Bell was left out of Brøndby’s squad for Monday’s Superliga game against Vejle.

BT reported: “Joe Bell can already take the plane to Stavanger this evening ahead of the switch to Norwegian football, where he was a big profile in Viking, who are fighting for the championship in Norway.

“Here, a medical check and contract signing must be arranged before the deal is closed.”

Bell’s next appearances for the All Whites are expected to be in October and November, when New Zealand meet Australia and Ireland in friendly internationals.
