Takapuna to host goodwill game between fans of European clubs

posted in: Events, News

International football — of sorts — will come to Takapuna’s Taharoto Park in November, and all in a good cause.

Members of Liverpool FC’s New Zealand Supporters Club will play a touring side representing Tahiti-based fans of French club St Etienne.

The match is planned for Sunday November 5, 2023, kicking off at 1pm.

A game of walking football is being considered as the curtainraiser, from 11.30am-12.30pm.

The visit to Takapuna is a return fixture for the St Etienne supporters who visited New Zealand a couple of years ago, enjoying a friendly game against the Liverpool fans.

  • Noel Leeming $50 voucher
