An OFC/NZF B Licence qualified coach, Faithfull has been coaching since 2014 when he was an assistant coach with Auckland City.

In 2021, he became head coach for the Western Springs women’s first team who were runners-up in the 2022 Women’s National League.

After resigning from Springs, he joined Hibiscus Coast for the latter stages of the men’s Championship competition.

Announcing Faithfull’s appointment, North Wellington chairman David Rayner said:

“We are excited to bring in someone of Ryan’s calibre, with his strong reputation domestically.

“It speaks volumes that he has chosen to join North Wellington and this will provide a springboard for the future development and growth for our members in 2024 and beyond.”

North Wellington thanked James Prosser for stepping in as the club’s Central League coach midway through last season, in an interim capacity.

North Wellington finished second bottom in last season’s Central League, avoiding relegation by two points.
