Title chase reduced to four clubs after first day at national U-17 boys’ champs

Only four clubs remain with a chance of taking out the U-17 Boys’ National League after the first day’s tournament play in Wellington.

Fencibles United, Birkenhead United, defending champions Auckland United and the Wellington Phoenix Academy all won their day one games.

These four now play on Saturday, with the two winners meeting in Sunday’s Grand Final.
