Auckland City and Wellington Olympic to meet in National League Grand Final

This year’s Grand Final of the Men’s National League will be between defending champions Auckland City and Wellington Olympic.

The two rivals are destined to meet on Sunday November 26 at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart after nearest rivals Christchurch United were beaten 4-2 by Cashmere Technical on Friday night.

The loss by Christchurch means they can no longer overhaul Olympic.

Auckland City beat Olympic in last season’s Grand Final, also at Mt Smart.

In a rehearsal of the Grand Final, Auckland City will host Olympic at Kiwitea St on Sunday in a Round 8 fixture.

Meanwhile, Cashmere Technical’s derby win against Christchurch United has lifted them to third on the table, ahead of Paul Ifill’s side on goal difference.
