New Zealand-based supporters of English club Liverpool have claimed bragging rights after a 6-2 win against a touring team of fans of French club St Etienne.

The teams met at Takapuna’s Taharoto Park on Sunday November 5, 2023, to continue the friendship between members of Liverpool FC’s New Zealand Supporters Club and the St Etienne supporters who are based in Tahiti.

St Etienne supporters … they’re looking to host the Liverpool fans in Tahiti next year.

The match was the second time the Tahiti group has played the New Zealand side, having met up a couple of years ago.

They have invited the Liverpool fans to visit them in Tahiti for a rematch next year.

A matchday raffle by the Scouser FC group raised $500 for charities Starship, North Shore Hospice and MND Foundation.
