Bill Foley, the backer of Auckland’s new A-League expansion club, has provided a clue that his side wants to play home games at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart.
Interviewed by 1News, Foley said among the many things still to be done was “to sign a lease to play at Mt Smart”.
Foley’s bid to launch the expansion club has been confirmed by the A-Leagues and national bodies of Australia and New Zealand.
It will enter the men’s A-League in 2024 and the women’s competition a year later.
