They’ve upset the odds before.

In 2014, Auckland City shocked the world’s football media when they finished third at the FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Morocco.

Auckland City’s Ivan Vicelich was awarded the Bronze Ball as one of the tournament’s three MVPs, with the All-White joining Cristiano Ronaldo and Ramos on stage to collect his prize.
