New Zealand U-17 international defender Suya Haering has signed with German club FFC Turbine Potsdam who play in the women’s Bundesliga 2 competition.

Turbine Potsdam are one of Germany’s most successful women’s teams with six Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Women’s Champions League victories.

The club is rebuilding after relegation to the second tier Bundesliga competition last year.

Haering becomes the second former New Zealand player to join Turbine Potsdam.

Wellington-born midfielder Maya Hahn (22) has been at the club since 2022. Hahn is a former New Zealand U-17 player who switched allegiance to Germany in 2020 in a bid to win selection for the country of her father’s nationality.
