Auckland United learn group opponents for OFC Women’s Champions League

Auckland United will face teams from Fiji, Tonga and New Caledonia at the OFC Women’s Champions League tournament in March.

The New Zealand national champions will play group games against Labasa (Fiji), Veitonga (Tonga) and a yet-to-be-decided club to represent New Caledonia.

The eight-club tournament will be held in Honiara, Solomon Islands, from March 10-23, 2024.

The draw for the second edition of the competition was conducted by former Football Ferns captain Maia Jackman, and hosted by MC/broadcaster Andrew Dewhurst, at OFC’s Auckland headquarters on Wednesday January 17.

Auckland United will become the first New Zealand club to compete in the OFC Women’s Champions League after the withdrawal of Eastern Suburbs from the inaugural event in 2023.
