Bucklands Beach coaches Neil Finnigan and Warwick McCarthy return for their second season as they aim for a promotion-winning campaign in the Lotto NRFL Northern Conference.
The side finished second in last season’s Northern Conference, behind unbeaten Franklin United who won promotion to the Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship.
The experienced coaching duo, club members for many years, stepped up to lead the men’s first team and reserves in 2023.

Finnigan (49) had previously coached youth teams at Bucklands Beach for more than a decade, helped coach school football at St Peter’s College and had coached goalkeepers.
McCarthy (62) has almost 20 years of coaching experience after a successful playing career as a striker, mostly for Howick AFC but with short stints at University, Ellerslie, Mt Roskill and Fremantle United.
He was part of the Northern Premier title-winning team in 1993 and a Golden Boot winner in 1989.

Pre-season programme
Bucklands Beach start their pre-season training on Tuesday January 23, 2024.
Training sessions then commence every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6.30pm, at Rogers Park, Eastern Beach.
