Takapuna AFC will host a memorial service on Friday January 26, 2024, for Ken Edgar, a former player, coach and supporter of football on Auckland’s North Shore.
Edgar died on December 4, aged 86.

Edgar played an integral part in the early establishment of Birkenhead United in the 1970s and coached youth teams and senior teams into the 1990s.
In the 2000s, his allegiance moved to Takapuna where his son, Adam, played.
