Wellington Phoenix returned to winning form with a 2-0 win against Canberra United in an incident-filled women’s A-League match at Porirua Park.
Striker Mariana Speckmaier scored a double, with goals either side of half-time, but Phoenix goalkeeper Rylee Foster was given a straight red in the 66th minute.

Substitute ‘keeper Brianna Edwards saved a penalty with her first touch of the game, and the Phoenix side endured a high-pressure finish, including nine minutes of added time, to claim the points.
