Goalkeeper coaches will be able seek their OFC/NZF B Licence this year with a two-part coaching course planned for 2024.
The course will be held in Auckland, with the first stage from April 17-21 and the second part from October 2-6.
The venue has yet to be confirmed.
Aaron McFarland, NZF Coach Development Manager, said:
“Having successfully run the OFC/NZF GK C licence for a number of years, the Oceania goalkeeping community are ready for the next step on the advanced coaching pathway.
“The landscape for coaching in football is evolving, and the demands being placed on our goalkeeper coaches to be at the cutting edge of their craft is changing with it.”
Through a modular approach, the B Licence covers themes from skill acquisition to player management and incorporates practical and theory components, as well as distance learning tasks.
Goalkeeper coaches with a current OFC/NZF C Licence are eligible to apply for the B Licence course.
