Fiji, Samoa and New Zealand were winners on the opening day of the OFC Women’s Olympic Qualifier tournament.
Hosts Samoa delighted the home crowd, scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 victory with only seconds to go, when Leah Manulelua converted from the penalty spot.

Fiji ran up the day’s biggest win, while tournament favourites New Zealand scored three early goals to begin their campaign.
