New Zealand international goalkeeper Oli Sail saved a late penalty to help his Perth Glory side to a thrilling 3-3 draw at Adelaide United in Friday’s men’s A-League match.
Leading 3-2 with only a few minutes of normal time left, Perth conceded a penalty.
Adelaide’s Stefan Mauk stepped forward to take the spot kick but Sail, who joined Glory from the Wellington Phoenix for this season, flung himself to his left to make the save.
Sail’s effort was negated eight minutes into stoppage time when Adelaide grabbed an equaliser.
League leaders Wellington Phoenix play Western United at Sky Stadium at 5.30pm on Saturday.
