Goals at the start of each half ensured the Wellington Phoenix continued their unbeaten start to 2024 with a 2-0 win against Western United at Sky Stadium.
Back from suspension, Nicholas Pennington finished a well-worked move to put the Phoenix ahead after only three minutes.
At the start of the second half, Pennington got the ball into the Western United net though the goal was judged to be an own goal, as it deflected off a defender.
