LISTEN: Rising star Macey Fraser making most of her opportunities

Midfielder Macey Fraser says she’s living her dream, having landed her first professional contract and making her full New Zealand international debut.

Interviewed by NewstalkZB sports broadcaster Jason Pine, Fraser (21) said the last six months had been a rollercoaster following her contract with A-League club Wellington Phoenix and selection to the Football Ferns.

She was the Player of the Match in her first Ferns game, a 3-0 win against Tonga in the opening game at the OFC Women’s Olympic Qualifier tournament.

Fraser scored in her second match, a sweetly-struck free kick from the outside the area that helped New Zealand beat Samoa 6-0.
