Football Ferns midfielder Kate Taylor has been ruled out of the Wellington Phoenix squad to meet Melbourne Victory in Sunday’s women’s A-League match.
While Taylor is on the Phoenix injured list, her New Zealand teammates Annalie Longo and Macey Fraser have recovered from injuries picked up at February’s OFC Women’s Olympic qualifiers in Samoa.

Longo (calf strain) and Fraser (concussion) returned early from the Olympic tournament for treatment at their club’s Lower Hutt base.
Leading goalscorer Mariana Speckmaier, who missed the Round 17 match against Western United, also returns from injury, giving the Phoenix their strongest matchday squad for some weeks.
While not included in the travelling squad for Round 18, midfielder Olivia Ingham (18) is available to play again after rehabilitation for her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
The scholarship player is a national age group international and was the Phoenix academy’s Player of the Year.
She injured her left knee in late 2022 and was forced to miss the Phoenix reserves’ 2023 national league campaign.
