Bay of Plenty’s Katikati club have inducted six new Life Members as part of their celebrations for the club’s 50th anniversary.
The club’s newest Life Members are Craig Peart, Mat Kindley, Wendy Sharpe, Nic Millichip, Ivan Dowds and Brian Stollery.
Of the group, legendary Football Fern Wendy Sharpe is the best-known, having played more than 50 times for her country.

The Katikati club was formed with a few junior teams in 1973.
In 2023, the club fielded 18 teams for junior, youth and senior players.
