The Wellington Phoenix expect their biggest crowd of the men’s A-League season so far when they take on Sydney at Auckland’s Eden Park.
The match, on Saturday March 16, 2024, is the last chance this season for Auckland fans to get behind the Phoenix.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Phoenix general manager David Dome said: “Will easily be the biggest Nix crowd of the season.”
So far, that record is 12,301 for the crowd who watched the side’s 0-0 draw with title rivals Central Coast Mariners, played at Sky Stadium on February 6, 2024.
Dome urged supporters to not wait to buy tickets, with seats in the North Stand selling fast and some still available in the South Stand.
