Club footballers get chance to support Phoenix in final round of men’s A-League

The Wellington Phoenix have successfully sought a change of kick-off time so their men’s A-League match won’t clash with local club football on Saturday April 27.

The Phoenix will play Macarthur FC in the round 26 fixture at Wellington’s Sky Stadium, and the new start time is 7.15pm, giving the region’s club footballers chance to get behind the Nix.

“The Phoenix want as many fans as possible to be able to attend the men’s final round match, which could potentially be decisive in the battle for the premier’s plate,” the club says.

The time change was approved by Australian Professional Leagues (APL) after the club sought to have the game played under lights.

The Phoenix have launched a special ticket to the team’s final three regular season games, saving up to 40% with their ‘Race to the Finals’ pass.
