Wellington Phoenix playmaker Macey Fraser has been named in the New Zealand starting line-up to face Thailand in the first of their two-match series in Christchurch.
Head coach Jitka Klimková has opted for a selection based around the experienced players who took part in last year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.
However, Fraser and young goalkeeper Anna Leat have been given their opportunities against Thailand.
Defender Michaela Foster was left out of the squad after suffering an ankle injury in the lead-up to the match.
