Fencibles United are leading the Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship in more ways than one.
Not only are they sitting on top of the 12-team table after five rounds, they also lead the competition in giving young players chance to shine.
Of their games so far, 45% of Fencibles’ game minutes have gone to players U-20.
Two other clubs — Franklin United and North Shore United — are also credited with fielding teams with a big share of U-20 player minutes, both exceeding 40% of game time.
However, Franklin and North Shore are at the foot of the table.
