Akshaay Ananth has joined the WaiBOP Football team as a federation development officer for the Waikato.
Based in Hamilton, Akshaay will support clubs across the Waikato to deliver football in their local communities.
Having spent time working in local club football, on a voluntary basis, he has an understanding of the issues facing club administrators, coaches and players.
“I have a passion for developing players and teams within the community space,” said Ananth.
“I believe the benefits of supporting growth within a community, with a collective goal, spurs success and allows greater exposure to gain recognition of the wider community.”
He started his role in late March 2024.
