Tickets are now on sale for the Wellington Phoenix’s biggest home game in club history.

As a result of the men’s record-breaking Isuzu UTE A-League regular season, the Phoenix have earned a week off to start the finals and now await one of this weekend’s elimination final winners in a two-legged semi-final for a place in the grand final.

The Nix will travel across the ditch for the first leg next week before returning home to Sky Stadium to host the semi-final second leg at 6.30pm on Saturday, May 18.

The Phoenix won’t know till late on Sunday May 5 who they’ll face in the semi-final, except it will be one of three teams — Melbourne Victory, Sydney or Macarthur.

Phoenix general manager David Dome is calling on Phoenix fans to pack out the stadium.

“We know the difference a big parochial Wellington crowd makes to the players,” Dome said.

“Given what the team has achieved this season, they deserve the support of everyone in the capital and all football fans in New Zealand.

“It’s been nine long years since we last had a home finals game and this promises to be a truly unforgettable night.

“Make sure you’re there to cheer the team on to the club’s first ever grand final!”

Ticket prices

There are three tiers of tickets, starting from $27.60 for a child and $37.85 for an adult and there are two bays dedicated to the Yellow Fever.

“Wellingtonians and football fans from around the country are encouraged to come out in force to support the Phoenix on Saturday May 18,” Sky Stadium chief executive Warrick Dent said.

“Nothing beats the atmosphere of watching the Phoenix live inside the Stadium and this is going to be an event to remember.”

Metlink have confirmed public transport will be running on gameday, with added services planned on train and bus routes across the network.
