After four rounds, the Lotto NRFL Women’s Championship picture is taking shape with Tauranga Moana scaling the summit, trailed by Onehunga Sports and Franklin United who share second place.
Three points behind, Birkenhead United chase in fourth position with a game in hand.
Vital points hang in the balance this Sunday, with the four leaders going head-to-head.
Onehunga Sports are pitted against table toppers Tauranga Moana on Sunday.
Tauranga go into the game with a perfect four-from-four wins, while Onehunga are enjoying a run of three successive victories and boast the league’s tightest defence record, having conceded only three goals.
Last weekend, Franklin United bounced back to victory with a 3-1 win over Melville United.
On paper, Franklin look to have the most dangerous attack, pocketing 16 goals in their four games. They’ll line up against Birkenhead this Sunday with home advantage.
In the bottom half of the league, Manukau United and Northern Rovers go head-to-head and Central United host Melville United.
