Auckland FC calls on northern region’s clubs to support new membership drive

A-League expansion club Auckland FC will incentivise clubs in their region to help them sign up for memberships ahead of their debut in next season’s competition.

In an update to clubs, Northern Region Football says Auckland FC will pay a 20% commission to affiliated clubs who help sign up members for the A-League newcomers.

“Whether on the field or cheering from the stands, we’re in it together,” NRF says in its update.

“It’s not just about playing the game — we want to be there for each other and grow the sport we love so much.

“When your members purchase an AFC membership, 20% of the membership fee will go back to their club. This is an exclusive offer for every NRF club.

“It’s club supporting club — and that’s how it should be.”

Auckland FC will enter the men’s A-League for the 2024-25 season, and will join the women’s A-League a year later.

NRF says they’ll host a video conference soon to connect Auckland FC and interested clubs, to share details on how the offer works.

“This is an exciting opportunity to reward clubs while building ties with our new local A-League team — watch this space,” NRF says.
