WATCH: Highlights from Phoenix’s semi-final against Melbourne Victory

An extra-time goal by Melbourne Victory has ended the season for Wellington Phoenix in front of more than 33,000 fans at Sky Stadium.

The Victory won the second leg of the men’s A-League semi-final against the Phoenix by a 2-1 scoreline after the sides were locked 1-1 in normal time.

The Phoenix had their chances to take control, with skipper Alex Rufer failing to score from the penalty spot and All White Ben Old smashing a shot against the Victory post.

Adama Traore gave Victory the lead with a superb shot from outside the area in the 82nd minute.

Substitute Oskar Zawada forced the game into extra time when he latched onto a lay-off from Kosta Barbarouses, nine minutes into stoppage time.
