New Zealand international Marko Stamenić could cap a double-winning season when his Red Star Belgrade side play in the Serbian Cup final on Wednesday May 22 (NZT).

Midfielder Stamenić (22) has already collected a winner’s medal for his club, who clinched the Serbian SuperLiga title with four games to go, and they meet Vojvodina at Lagator Stadium at 6.15am (NZT).

Vojvodina are fifth in the SuperLiga and chasing qualification for next season’s European competitions.

Stamenić was rested for last weekend’s 4-0 win against Napredak in the league, but is expected to be included in the cup final squad.

He will be looking for back-to-back cup winner’s medals after helping his previous club, FC Copenhagen, win their ninth Danish Cup, before signing with Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) in mid-2023.

Coverage of the cup final is not listed in the programme guides for Sky Sport, beIN Sport or FIFA+, and is thought to be restricted to broadcasts within Serbia.

In their history, Crvena Zvezda and Vojvodina have met 212 times, with Crvena Zvesda winning 122 matches, Vojvodina triumphing 40 times and 50 of the games ending in draws.
