Auckland club Ellerslie have appointed Connor Westbury as their women’s reserves coach for the rest of the 2024 season.
Westbury was previously coaching Northern Rovers’ women’s reserves and was an assistant coach with their first team in 2023.
Ellerslie’s head coach Ryan Shiffman said: “Connor has come in and fit straight into the environment. He is extremely likeable, knowledgeable, and cares about what is best for the team as a whole.
“His session design, tactical considerations, and calm nature has added so much to the team just within the first few weeks he has been here. He gets along with everyone and continues to add value each week.
“We are extremely lucky to have Connor join us for the 2024 season and look forward to watching him continue to develop his own coaching skillset.”
