Friends and family will celebrate the life of former All White Ian Ormond at a memorial service to be held in Auckland in late 2022.
Ormond, a former New Zealand football Player of the Year, died on October 8, 2021, aged 72, but restrictions forced by the COVID-19 pandemic have disrupted plans for his service.
Rather than host the event at a time when restrictions would be placed on the numbers attending and the requirement for masks, his family have decided to reschedule the memorial till the first anniversary of his death.
