Miramar Rangers and Cashmere Technical will decide who takes home the Chatham Cup when they meet at Porirua’s Jerry Collins Stadium on Sunday March 6.
New Zealand Football have confirmed the game will go ahead behind closed doors though the match will be screened live and free on Sky Sport Next.
New Zealand Football’s general manager of football, Daniel Farrow, said it would not be possible to stage the Chatham Cup and Kate Sheppard Cup as a doubleheader this year, as the women’s knockout still had an unplayed semi-final (due to be played on Saturday March 5).
“Splitting the finals enables us to get our competitions finished as soon and as safely as possible,” he said.
The Jerry Collins Stadium has been the home ground of Team Wellington in the national league.
