As the All Whites prepare for their day of World Cup destiny, young midfielder Matt Garbett has been linked with three English Premier League clubs who are reportedly vying for his services.

Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City are reportedly keen to sign him from his current club, Italian Serie A side Torino.

Asked by Newshub’s Narelle Sindos about the reports, Garbett (20) said: “At the moment, I’m just leaving that to my agents.”

Garbett has three years to run on his Torino contract but in his interview with Sindos he talks about Torino in the past tense, providing a possible clue as to his intentions.

“I don’t know what my future holds, but Torino is there and, ultimately, I’ve enjoyed my time there at Torino.”

As for now, Garbett’s focus is on one thing — preparing for the game against Costa Rica on Wednesday (NZT) and a shot at World Cup glory.
